Unbrako

Also known as an Allen screw or Allen bolt, or simply a cap screw. A countersunk headed screw conforming with ISO 10642 or DIN 7991, requiring a hex key (otherwise known as an Allen key) to fit. The countersunk head is typically used in conjunction with a countersunk hole providing a flush, snag free fit. The head diameter is slightly larger than that of the equivalent DIN 965 Phillips or Pozi driven screw. Unbrako Durlok® self locking, anti vibration hex head flange bolts. These are serrated flanged hex head bolts, which can be paired with the Unbrako Durlok® self locking serrated flanged nut. They both have a high tensile strength of 12.9 and a black oxide/self coloured finish. These heavy duty fasteners are suitable for situations where vibration and jarring occurs and where the joint is subject to high loads. They can be reused, as they are unlikely to be damaged by the adjoining surfaces. Durlok® Bolts are manufactured from alloy steel and are through hardened to give the same hardness from the tooth surface to the core. Durlok® Fasteners can be used at high temperatures up to 300°C.

Unbrako branded knurled cup point grub screws are designed for use with softer materials or for inserting into an existing threaded aperture. The cup point provides more torque and gripping force than other types, and the knurling helps to reduce loosening from vibration. The knurls are angled ridges on the edge of the cup that when tightened have a ratchet-locking action, as they cut into the mating surface. Knurled cup point grub screws are not recommended for reuse once fitted, as the cutting edges of the knurls are deflected when tightened and their effectiveness for future reuse reduced.
